Well, I got active there in the fall of thirty-six, but the fact of the matter, I was one of the first that wore uh... my union button exposed in the shop. I was told by some of the fellas that even had joined up... this kid said, "you could get kicked outta here," I said well that's possible, but I felt it was worth taking the risk.
